New Daugirdas hotel restaurant name – L’Artisan – is chosen deliberately. It is directly related to what our kitchen people are exposed to do daily. Artisan, translated from English, means a master, craftsman.
The Oxford Dictionary says: 1. craftsman – a worker in a skilled trade, especially one that involves making things by hand. 1.1 (about food or drink) – made in a traditional or non-mechanized way using high-quality ingredients:
We pride ourselves on making almost all our products on site, from breads to ice creams. Where possible, we have sourced all our ingredients from regional producers. You will find unexpected, but very tasty combinations, using diverse herbs and spices. Should You have any dietary requirements or food allergies that we are not aware of, please do inform us when ordering. We will guide you to the most appropriate dishes on the menu. Many of our dishes do contain both dairy and nuts, but can be done without. We do hope that you enjoy your dining experience with us!
